5T2

We are 5T2!

Welcome to Summer 2 from Miss Blunden and Miss Cook.

I hope you all had a fantastic half term break.  Myself and Miss Cook are all really impressed with how enthusiastic and hard working the children have been since they returned to school.  Keep up the good work!  Thank you for supporting us in striving to improve behaviour across school.  I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you how important attendance is in ensuring your child continues make progress.

On Wednesdays, the children will be doing ICT and PHSCE with Miss Wroe and Mrs Morris.  This half term, our PE day is Tuesday.  Lessons will continue to be outside.  Even though it is approaching the summer, we would advise sending the children in with jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt, as well as suitable clothing for warmer weather.   Trainers are essential for all PE lessons.

We are having a big push on knowing our timetables and would really appreciate it if you could help support your child in learning these at home.

Many thanks,

Miss Blunden

The Big Blue Whale

To say we were fascinated by this extraordinary creature would be an understatement.  During writing week, we all thoroughly enjoyed learning about the Blue Whale.  Did you know the Blue Whale is the biggest creature to ever have lived?  It weighs the same as 2667 humans and is the same length as a basketball court. While its heart is the size of a small family car, its ear is a tiny hole as small as the end of a pencil!  Unlike us, it doesn't have ears which stick out because they would get in the way when swimming.  Find out more about this incredible creature by reading our work below or by visiting the National Geographic website.

IMPORTANT - Our PE days will continue to be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  Although the warmer weather is approaching, please ensure you bring in suitable clothing for outdoor PE lessons, such as jogging bottoms, a jumper and trainers.  A reminder that long hair should be tied up and any earrings removed, or covered with a plaster.
